Jade carving from the Qing Dynasty, depicting a ram and his lamb. The heads and most of the body of the seated animals are a brownish shade of jade, while towards the tail the grey colour is also present. Both the beard, the hoofed legs and the long, stubby horns are detailed with lines.
The ram is a lucky animal in Chinese mythology.
